Good times – a word essay

On deck chairs we spend most part of the day, lying in our swim suits, reading, sipping on iced tea as above us, tall trees shade us from the sun.

Before us, the magnificent and formidable Andaman Sea. It’s waters in two colours: a glistening aquamarine and further out, a royal blue.

We jump into infinity pools when we tire of reading or fall asleep on the chairs. With the crashing waves as our lullaby.

Or we stare at that aquamarine, royal blue sea  and its vastness before us.

At times, the resort is so quiet that it feels like it’s only the  two of us, like the beach is ours; like it’s our own private paradise.

Our stomachs are kept warm with pancakes, bacon, eggs,  salads with a warm egg on top, pastas,  Tom Yum, freshly squeezed tangy  sweet orange juice, and donuts.

At night, we snuggle on the couch in our villa watching old movies before falling into a deep, deep sleep.
